Haven\u2019t seen you around for a while. What have you been up to?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah: 190 nations and organizations have pledged to quit coal at COP26, so I decided to quit my gasoline-powered Range Rover and I\u2019ve been electric car shopping. Any suggestions on how I should go about this?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael: You know I have a Tesla Model S and love it, and the allure of the electric vehicle has never been stronger for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah: It seems impossible to talk about electric cars without talking about Tesla. No offense, Michael, I\u2019m sure your Tesla Model S is great, but I feel like considering something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael: No problem. There\u2019s a real explosion in choice. Everybody, and I mean everybody, is piling into the market. Several new ones hit the roads early this year, for example Volvo\u2019s XC40 and Audi\u2019s Q4 e-tron for 2022. If you want a splash, there is also Porsche\u2019s Taycan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah: Anything else to keep in mind?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael: You want to consider your charging plan. The first step is to determine where you will typically charge your car. Most people do it at home, which is easiest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah: I will too for sure.
