But it wasn\u2019t until sometime during the Civil War that Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November, correct?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael: That\u2019s right! So are there any Thanksgiving rituals you and your family keep?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah: When the kids were young, we always went to the parade in town. This year, my sister is here now, so we\u2019ll have a big family dinner. And turkey of course. And how about you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael: I used to play in a marching band. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah: Let me guess what you played. Trumpet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael: Nope. Tuba! Our family also enjoys watching the New York City Macy&#8217;s Thanksgiving Day Parade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah: Tuba? That\u2019s impressive! Well, wish you guys a beautiful Thanksgiving! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael: Thanks!
