Kitten\u2019s First Full Moon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was Kitten\u2019s first full moon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When she saw it, she thought,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a little bowl of milk in the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And she wanted it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So she closed her eyes and stretched her neck<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and opened her mouth and licked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Kitten only ended up with a bug on her tongue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poor Kitten!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So she pulled herself together and wiggled her bottom <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and sprang from the top step of the porch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Kitten only tumbled \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

bumping her nose and banging her ear and pinching her tail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poor Kitten!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So she chased it \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

down the sidewalk, through the garden, past the field, and by the pond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Kitten never seemed to get closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poor Kitten!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, there was the little bowl of milk, just waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So she ran to the tallest tree she could find,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and she climbed and climbed and climbed to the very top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Kitten still couldn’t reach the bowl of milk, and now she was scared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poor Kitten!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What could she do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, in the pond, Kitten saw another bowl of milk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it was bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a night!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So she raced down the tree and raced through the grass <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and raced to the edge of the pond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She leaped with all her might \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poor Kitten!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was wet and sad and tired and hungry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So she went back home \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and there was a great big bowl of milk on the porch,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

just waiting for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
