It is a way of finding time for leisure and entertainment\u2014at the expense of sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The term \u2018bedtime procrastination\u2019 was introduced in a 2014 paper. The addition of the word \u2018revenge\u2019 first came to use in China to describe how people often working 12-hour days would stay up as their only way to take back some control of their time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The term became popular following a viral tweet by journalist Daphne K. Lee.
