Experts disagree on whether the new crown has been influenza-ized\n<br>\n\nAs the covid-19 pandemic enters its third fall, it&#8217;s a question scientists are discussing, NPR reported Sept. 16. Monica Gandhi, PhD, an infectious disease expert at the University of California, San Francisco, said. &#8220;I have to say, &#8216;Yes, it&#8217;s already like the flu now.'&#8221;\n<br>\n\nGandhi and other researchers believe that most people currently have enough immunity, either through vaccination, infection or a combination of both, to protect them from serious complications even if they contract the new crown. Gandhi said it is especially important that the Omicron variant does not appear to be as deadly as earlier strains. &#8221;\n<br>\n\nBut there are still many differing views on the topic. Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House medical adviser and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said. &#8220;There&#8217;s still a fairly significant difference in the severity of the new crowns compared to the flu. The same is true of the lethality of neo-crown.&#8221;\n<br>\n\nFauci noted that neo-crown still kills hundreds of people every day, meaning that more than 125,000 people could die from neo-crown in the next 12 months if the death toll continues to grow at this rate. New crowns have already killed more than 1 million Americans and are the third leading cause of death in 2021. New crowns vary greatly in performance at the individual and group levels\n<br>\n\n In an interview with NPR White House New Crown Response Coordinator Ashish Jha, PhD, noted, &#8220;If you consistently get the latest vaccine, your chances of dying from New Crown once you get the drug after a positive test are almost zero, and certainly much lower than your risk of getting into trouble with the flu.&#8221;\n<br>\n\nBut Jha stressed that omicron is so contagious and infects so many people that &#8220;at the population level, it poses a much greater threat to the U.S. population than influenza,&#8221; and that it could still cause more deaths.\n<br>\n\nMoreover, the mortality rate for any disease varies by age and other demographic factors. Importantly, the new crown remains more deadly to the elderly and frail compared to the young.\n<br>\n\nThe risk is particularly high for those who have not received vaccinations and booster shots and are not properly treated. Macron criticized French immigration policy as &#8220;ridiculous&#8221; and will push a new bill\n<br>\n\nFrench President Emmanuel Macron announced on the 15th that he will submit a bill related to asylum and immigration in early 2023. &#8220;Our (immigration) policy is completely ineffective and inhumane. Ineffective because France has far more illegal immigrants than its neighbors; inhumane because (the sheer number of people leads to) a very poor reception of immigrants.&#8221;\n<br>\n\nMacron said France&#8217;s attraction to immigrants lies in the fact that it offers far more subsidies, social and medical treatment to immigrants than its neighbors. The Fed is expected to further raise interest rates with far-reaching implications\n<br>\n\n  The Fed&#8217;s proposed policy meeting in September is expected to raise key short-term interest rates by 0.75 percentage points for the third consecutive time, along with the possibility of raising the benchmark rate to a range of 3% to 3.25%, the highest level in 14 years.\n<br>\n\n  This will affect many consumer and business loans. It is expected that the Fed may raise interest rates faster than they have become by the end of this year, and that future interest rates may remain high for longer than previously expected.
