Natural Disasters
Michael: Sarah, isn’t your mom from Germany? Does she still have
relatives there? As of today, I heard there are 155 people still missing a
week after their record rainfall.
Sarah: Thanks for asking, Michael. Luckily, our relatives don’t live in
western Germany, which is where the flood is. On the other side of the
world, Henan province in China is suffering from a very bad flood too.
Then we also have the fires in the west.
Michael: So sad! In Oregon a wildfire burned through more than
364,000 acres. Over 2000 people had to abandon their homes.
Sarah: The consequences of climate change seem worse than we
thought. I agree it’s very sad. By the way, I’m planning to attend a Zoom
seminar on the topic of climate change.
Michael: Oh, that’s great. Can you pass me the info too?
Sarah: Sure, I’ll send you the link when I get home.
Joy to listen to. Thank you, Nancy!
A wonderful reading done by a great lady. You’re an inspiration to me. Stay well and happy.
Another great episode. Timely and useful. 👍👍👍
I have been having trouble with pronouncing “world” ever since learning “workers of the world, unite!” on 中央广播电台 in the 70s.
Hahaha you cracked me up with this “workers of the world unite”😆😆😆
