Fundraising for Refugees
Sarah: Hi Michael! I just wanted to thank you again for taking up the speaker job for our fundraising event for the Afghanistan refugees.
Michael: My pleasure, Sarah. After all, my two and half years of living in Afghanistan need to come in handy for something. So, I’m very glad for this opportunity. I also think that you ladies are taking up a much harder job.
Sarah: Thanks Michael. We have collected most of the used sporting goods on the list that people signed up for. I just have to contact the last few families on the list. My friends who oversee the bake sale are doing great too. We can serve you a slice of freshly baked pie on Saturday.
Michael: Ooh! Delicious! Make sure you have a cup of strong Americano to go with it! Just kidding! I sounded a bit entitled, didn’t I?!
Sarah: Not at all. You’ll have it, sir! Pie with Americano it is! We do look forward to your talk, Michael!
Michael: You bet, Sarah! Me too!

咖啡种类的介绍言简意赅,很实用👍
Americano的发音
第二个a是apple 还是want中的a? Nancy 和Eric的发音不同。
Nancy谢谢您的解释,佩服您中英文都能讲得这么好而且谦和的个性。👍💐💕
Is it a Italian or English lesson? Wonderful as usual
对不起, Mary Poppins是”玛丽.包萍”. 我在说中文名称时把“萍”字音错发成“莲”. 实属不该, 因为是音译. 致歉!!!😢🙏
