Sarah: Michael, you’re a kayaking pro, aren’t you? Any tips for me and my friend? We’ll try kayaking on our trip to the island this time.
Michael: Good for you! But keep in mind that it’s not as simple as just an iconic image of a kayak gliding across a glassy stretch of water or its bow knifing through the mist. You’ll need some basics to ensure a good experience.
Sarah: Oh tell me a few things please.
Michael: First, a well-adjusted kayak will be more stable and comfortable to paddle. Do your adjusting while the boat is sitting on dry land. Then you need to know how to launch your kayak properly, how to hold your kayak paddle and all the basic kayaking strokes. And, know your safety precautions.
Sarah: Whoa, sounds more complicated than I thought.
Michael: Hey, but you’ll have fun. For your first time kayaking, I’d suggest that you choose a small, calm body of water. Or even better, have someone lead you.
Sarah: Thanks Michael! It seems like I need to be a bit more prepared.
Today’s tongue twister:
She sells sea-shells on the sea-shore.
The shells she sells are sea-shells, I’m sure.
For if she sells sea-shells on the sea-shore
Then I’m sure she sells sea-shore shells.
Timely episode. Though I am still not sure from which shore did she sell the sea shells
